Emi Makabe will perform her originals and Japanese traditional folk music.

Tammy Scheffer and Moto Fukushima have been playing as a duo for the past couple of years, combining their original compositions with looping and effects. Bassist Moto Fukushima’s compositions are influenced by both jazz and classical music, and are hauntingly melodic, beautifully constructed, and almost folksy at times. Vocalist Tammy Scheffer uses her voice as an instrument, creating soundscapes on her looper, and then seamlessly moves into storytelling in the singer-songwriter tradition.
