Harvey Diamond is a bona fide master of the piano and has yet to receive the recognition he truly deserves. "Diamond is a master of both melody and harmony much like his predecessors in the legacy of jazz piano, Bill Evans and Lennie Tristano." ~ Eugene Uman, Vermont Jazz Center
"This is Harvey Diamond, he played with the wonderful tenor player Lena Bloch and brought me to tears. Every note seemed to come just by receiving, no show off, no uchi kuchi games on the piano, no hip modern stuff, just honest. Not many people seem to know him but I'm happy to have him heard." - Thomas Ruckert, pianist

Diamond is an unsung hero of the jazz scene. He is a musician beyond compare, a true artist, a true original. He is a highly sought after educator and has been a teacher and mentor to many generations of musicians. Harvey was one of the last prize students of the late great Lennie Tristano studying with him weekly for 10 years in New York City up until Lennie's death in '78. In education and performance Harvey continues to promote Tristano's concepts.
