What is Ibeamʼs door deal?
Artists receive 100% of the door.
What is the rental fee for?
The rental fee keeps the piano tuned, the lights on and the staff paid.
How many people fit in Ibeam?
Ibeam has a maximum capacity of 50 and seating for 35.
How much can I charge at the door?
Our general suggested donation is $10. You are welcome to charge what you wish.
What time will my concert start?
Concerts start at 8:30 pm.
What time can I get in the space?
You will given access to the space no earlier than 7 pm. If you need additional set up or rehearsal time then you must rent it at our regular rate of $25 per hour.
How do I get into Ibeam?
You will pick up keys to Ibeam during a brief info session which will familiarize you with the space and itʼs policies. Our staff will contact you with possible times.
Who works the door at Ibeam?
We require each artist or presenter to make arrangements for someone to work the door.
Will my concert be staffed by Ibeam?
If we anticipate a large crowd or you are coming in from out of town, we may require extra staffing. Ibeam can also provide staffing for your show by request.
What is the policy for alcohol?
There is a no alcohol policy at ibeam. (There is a bar across the street!)
Is Ibeam a good place to record?
Yes, although we prefer to know if you will be recording. Please keep in mind that you may want to delay the start time of your concert to allow for extra set up time. If you are interested in having your concert recorded we have some excellent live engineers we can recommend.
How will my concert be promoted?
Ibeam will post your concert on the website once confirmed. We occasionally send a press release although we recommend that you also send a press release. We do service a monthly email list. We donʼt have a walk in crowd.
Will the piano be in tune?
In general we tune the piano every 6-8 weeks. We cannot guarantee that the piano will be perfect but it should be in relatively good playing condition. If you would like the piano tuned for your concert it must be booked 3-4 weeks in advance. The cost is $120 and must be paid in advance.
